The Shortcut To Reorganising A Voluntary Welfare Organisation – Asian Womens Welfare Association Of Singapore The long-term consequence of leaving welfare work and pursuing an organised labour cause is a lack of understanding of its benefits and its failure to deliver for social security recipients, particularly young women of working age. This article describes the emerging importance and context in which the welfare arrangements of early pensioners and young women of low- or working-age age contribute to social security reform programmes in Japan, Singapore, link and Malaysia. Another main body of research on social security is the Rensselaer Progress Paper published in 1993 of which I am a co-representative and recently a first author. We offer detailed explanations of these issues and our main conclusions are described in the beginning section of this paper. Pursuant to Jens Geoghegan’s seminal 1977 study in Japan of the effects of welfare reforms on Japan’s community, we analyse these social security measures using demographic and actuarial modelling.
